This opera had no builds as it consisted entirely of modern clothes, needing only minor alterations to fit the singers. My team was in charge of the two principles: Brianna Hunter, as Zoe, and Christian Pursell, as Thomas. A lot of the process was waiting to see which of 3-4 looks would be decided for the principles to wear as one single look. This was beneficial in allowing us to get ahead on the remaining two shows that had builds and significantly more alterations.

Points in which I was challenged:

• Learning to communicate with a designer to meet their vision and meet deadlines.

  • Being willing to advocate for a look that both the designer and signer liked so that a decision could be made and ultimately a garment can be altered so that nothing came in the last minute.
